just a smudge here and a curly cue there - there, all done !
FINDING SERENITY : :
More information can be found on MY BLOG plus a few selections of art you haven't seen here. Yo also can post comments on my blog about what you see and feel.
UNCOVERING STYLE : : As we move our way through 2008 life becomes more and more mixed up with all cultures and all classes coming together to form a new eclectic style of life. Even the decay of the past plays a large role in what we see and perceive as normal routine.
It is fascinating at the genuine creativity in the world today to present visions of our world as it is perceived.
DOING WHAT IS NECESSARY : : My visions are only as good as the person perceiving them.
If you are bored or uninspired, my visions will be perceived as less than desirable.
If I have attracted your eye and your mind, then my visions are accomplishing their goals.
It is up to you, the visitor to determine how I have inspired you and either kept or discouraged your visit.

CREATING GRUNGE
This word GRUNGE doesn't even sound nice when you say it. It has a culture all its own; a style that urges you to recognize old and decayed as being artistic and in vogue. Deteriorating neighborhoods and cities, aging and rusting wrecked cars, cracked and discolored walls and torn and shredded clothing, even old worn faded photographs, books and pictures of all sorts make up what is now called grunge. First coined by punk and metal musical groups many years ago, it has taken on a life of its own in the art world....
Grunge to me is civilizations nightmare which was turned into style.
I have offer a few examples of grunge here.

WHERE THE SUN ONCE GLOWED BRIGHTLY is now obscured by grit and grime. A picture that once stood tall with buildings and sunshine and trees is now obscured by age and fade. This is the result of a picture just like a flower or piece of fruit. Growing from seed to bloom or ripen, it eventually fades to decay. It is yesterdays vision, now moldy with grime and filth. It is pitted and useless, and ready to be discarded, OR IT IT?. Thus the life of grunge thrives to remind us where we once were and where we are now.

WALK INTO AN OLD HOUSE and find an old book sitting in a box in the attic or in a damp basement. Once a prized reading vessel, now a faded, pitted virtually discarded lump of yesterday. In a collector market, a possible valuable find, but as for most, kindling for the next fire.
All the above examples of grunge artistry were created by me. All works on this page are copyrighted and use of any graphics here are prohibited without the consent of the artist. None of the objects or scenes depicted above exist anywhere. they are simply artistry made to look old and faded. Thus, we have GRUNGE. ...*
